Mailing List

Please note that only subscribed users can post messages on these mailing lists. All the mailing-lists are in “closed-post” mode, which mean that messages from people who are not subscribed to the list need to go through a moderation process, which can take many hours or days, but is a necessary evil to avoid spam. Once you are subscribed, you can send a message to the mailing list from any of the e-mail addresses defined in your profile. To unsubscribe from any of the following lists, please send an empty, subjectless email to mailing list unsubscribe addresses. Mailing List

Once you’re logged in, you can see all of the lists which you are subscribed to with the email address associated with your community account. These mailing lists typically contain email addresses or phone numbers of those that have not voluntarily subscribed.

Do not send private email to any list member unless specifically invited to do so. The mailing lists are intended for public discussion, and list subscribers are not technical support staff. You can send a note to a  Project mailing list, without being subscribed to it. But your post will be moderated. Then post questions to the list by sending an email message.

Every member of a mailing list can send a message to all other members without knowing their email addresses. You can even post messages to a mailing list through viped but you first need to be subscribed to the appropriate list! Mailing lists allow you to use a single address to send mail to multiple email addresses.

Messages from the mailing lists are sent to your  e-mail address by default. To post a message to all the list members, send email to tycho-user@ You must be subscribed to the list before you can post. If you have other email addresses, at the link above you’ll be able to go through a short process to verify you have control over those other email addresses and then you’ll be able to see the lists subscribed using those addresses as well.

To post a message to all the list members, send email to -wg@ You must be subscribed to the list before you can post. You can also perform certain actions on these mailing lists by sending special emails to specific email addresses. The default action of lists is to send the password to the relevant member’s email address once a month as a reminder of the membership to the list.

Note that if you are sending mail from a dynamic IP address, you will probably not be able to post to the mailing lists. Most OpenBSD mailing lists strip messages of MIME content before sending them out to the rest of the list. After you subscribe, you can post a message to all the list members, send an e-mail to list-name.
